LU exam committee meet: LLB 3-yr prog’s second division at 45%
IN PG PROGRAMMES, PASS PERCENTAGE IN M SC WILL BE 33% IN INDIVIDUAL PAPERS AND 36% IN AGGREGATE, AS ALREADY OPERATIONAL IN MA AND M COM
LUCKNOW: The University of Lucknow has decided that in LLB three-year programme second division will be given at 45%, instead of 48% and there will be no third division.
In PG programmes, pass percentage in M Sc will be 33% in individual papers and 36% in aggregate, as already operational in MA and M Com.
The decisions were taken at an examination committee meeting held on Friday.
The pass percentage in all UG courses (non professional) will be 33 in individual papers and 36% in aggregate marks, said NK Pandey, spokesperson, LU.
“The resolutions will be placed in a meeting with the principals of the colleges to take the final call on them,” said Pandey.
In another meeting of LU examination committee, it was resolved that all the students who have failed this year in the UG first year will be given opportunity to take admission as regu-
lar candidates in place of exempted candidates so that they are able to adapt to the newly introduced semester system.
Meanwhile, the committee decided to conduct the computer applications paper for 32 students of IT College. The panel had in 2015 decided to discontinue computer application course in UG.
“IT College neither made any switch nor did it discontinue the course. When the college approached the university for examination of computer applications, the university had to decline to conduct the examination.
IT College approached the court.
The court imposed a penalty on the college but in the interest of students asked the university to conduct the examination for students.
Since the university has to conduct the examination for the 32 students, the committee decided to charge a net fee of Rs 2,000 per student for this,” said Pandey.
