ALLAHABAD :Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has reiterated its demand for a separate ministry for the protection of cows. “We demand that there be a separate ministry for ‘Gau Raksha’ and ‘Gau Samvardhan’ (promotion). For this, we contacted over 370 MPs during the monsoon session and sought their approval,” claimed Milind Parande, international general secretary of VHP.

He expressed these views while talking to journalists at Kesar Bhawan here on Tuesday. Parande said the VHP office bearers were also contacting leaders in different states to seek their support on the issue. Calling Rohingyas (Muslims residing in Myanmar) and Bangladeshi Muslims a threat for the internal security of the country, the VHP leader said these people should be asked to leave the country.

“On the other hand, all Hindus who migrated from Bangladesh after facing much harassment should be rehabilitated and made genuine citizens of India.

We asked the Centre to take steps in this regard. We have also demanded the government to enact a law for the construction of Ram temple,” he added.

Parande said VHP was also making all efforts for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. He also said VHP along with Bajrang Dal would be organising ‘Yuva Sanskar Week’ from September 25 to October 2.

During this week youth would be made aware of the ill effects of different types of addiction. They would also be urged to follow traffic rules.

“The purpose is to bring down accidental deaths as majority of people who die in road accidents are young people,” he added. Parande claimed during the membership drive of Bajrang Dal last year, over 32 lakh youths joined the organisation.
