YOU MUST DEFINE YOUR STRENGTHS TO EMBARK ON A JOURNEY OF CHANGE

So, you wish to improve? Most of us do because self improvement is universal in us humans. Remember that even though Leonardo da Vinci was a well-accomplished artist, he was unhappy because he thought he lacked knowledge; he studied astronomy and engineering among other subjects, and compiled his notes in diaries -- and the same dairies were sold for a fortune recently!

We all have a desire to change and improve ourselves for the better. A good way to start is to define your strengths and weaknesses. That will help you realise what exactly needs improvement.

Discussing your plans to improve with friends or family members can imbue confidence in you, and help you on your improvement plan. Above all, convince yourself that you are pursuing this plan for self improvement -- to do better in life. That itself will be enough to inspire your efforts.

Don’t make a quick resolution and if you are unable to follow it up. Even if you are merely thinking about the plan, you are in the ‘contemplation’ stage. But when you begin working on the changes, it becomes the stage of ‘action.’ Must acknowledge to yourself that you are a winner. The difference is that you are working with yourself and you know yourself best. It perfectly resonates with Shiv Khera’s words: “Winners don’t do different things; they do things differently.”
