Eight IAS officers transferre­d

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday effected a minor administra­tive reshuffle transferri­ng nine IAS officers and giving new responsibi­lities to some others who were on the wait-list.

Mukesh Meshram, secretary, AYUSH department, has been sent to department of medical education in the same capacity while Prashant Trivedi, principal secretary, medical, health and family welfare, has been given additional charge of the department of AYUSH.

Apart from this, Rajendra Kumar Singh, special secretary, child developmen­t and nutrition, has been sent to the agricultur­e production branch in the same capacity.

AMONG THE WAITLISTED OFFICERS, PRERNA SHARMA HAS BEEN APPOINTED CDO SHAHJHANPU­R,

secretary, election and additional chief election officer, has been appointed managing director of the Purvanchal (Varanasi) discom.

Among the wait-listed officers, Prerna Sharma has been appointed chief developmen­t officer (CDO), Shahjhanpu­r, and Sujit Kumar has been sent to the rural livelihood mission as its director.

Similarly, Jitendra Bahadur Singh has been appointed special secretary in the department of home and prison and Kumar Prashant has been appointed secretary, IT and Electronic­s.
