Issue appointment letters to 41,000 primary teachers: CS
LUCKNOW: The state government has directed the departments concerned to issue appointment letters to 41, 000 newly selected primary teachers by completing their verification process by September 5.
Chief secretary Anoop Chandra Pandey issued directions to this effect to all district magistrates and commissioners through video conference here on Monday.
Pandey asked officials to ensure all necessary arrangements regarding the free distribution of books to the children for the upcoming new session and also directed to ensure 100% distribution of books to the students of the current educational session.
In order to increase the number of students by 5%, he said a campaign should be run to encourage the non-school going students to join school.
The officials were told to expedite the work of Swachchha Bharat Mission by taking feedback from the people to place UP in the first position.
He said a DPR of 1,50,000 selected beneficiaries under Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana should be prepared and forwarded to the state level committee for its approval and later sent to the Union government by September 5 for its further approval.
He also directed to ensure necessary action to provide power connections to the citizens under Saubhagya Yojana as per rules and give water, sewage facilities.
He laid emphasis on providing LED light/bulbs at lowest rate to all the power consumers under the Ujala scheme.
Agriculture production commissioner and additional chief secretary (basic education) Prabhat Kumar, UPEIDA chief executive officer Avanish Kumar Awasthi, additional chief secretary, planning, Deepak Trivedi, principal secretary, energy, Alok Kumar, principal secretary, rural development, Anurag Srivastava, principal secretary, medical and health, Prashant Trivedi and other senior officials of the departments concerned were present during the video conferencing.
