Five UP shuttlers make it to Indian team
▪ LUCKNOW : As many as five trainees at the UP Badminton Academy have been selected in the Indian squad for the Under-15 and under-17 Asia Championships, scheduled to be held at Myanmar from October 3 to 7.
They are Ansh Vishal Gupta, Taneesha Singh, Mansi Singh, Shruti Mishra, Shailja Shukla. The predatory coaching camp of the squad will be held from September 16 to 30 also at the UPBA Academy here.
“It’s a proud moment for us that for the first time five players of our state have made it to the Indian squad,” UPBA’s secretary Arun Kakkar states on Friday.
SELECTION TRIALS
Trials to select Lucknow boys for the final selection trial for UP under-23 team will be held at the BBD Stadium here on September 11 at 8.00 am. Interested players who have not filled the registration form yet must complete the formality.

Taekwondo exponents of Lucknow staged a fine show to emerge overall champions at the State Championship held at Agra.
