WE MUST STRIVE TO BECOME A BETTER VERSION OF OURSELVES

- Yamini Sinha

Every morning we get up to experience another chance to live. Very few of us find our way into the realm of happiness. We keep ourselves engrossed in our daily schedules to an extent that we fail to recognise our strengths and weaknesses. It is basically an art to groom ourselves on a daily basis. Our predetermined set of activities leave no room for it. In order to follow a self-development technique, we need to understand a simple formula of five steps that can bring about a noticeable change in our personality. The first step is to review our yesterday’s behaviour and conduct. This can be done right before leaving the bed in the morning. Closed eyes often give you a candid picture of things, places, people and incidents. Step two is to include the categorisation of actions into those radiating happiness and those building fear, ignorance, anger, hatred or envy. For the next step, we take an oath to our own soul for stopping all the actions that hurt others and spread negativity in and around us. Step four should be a strong determination to work upon our flaws. And, finally, step five includes jotting down the dos and don’ts for the day. This self-judging parameter will help us become a better version of ourselves. Concentrating on self-growth keeps us from peeking into other’s world. If we all take a pledge to follow this path of self-development then many evils would be eradicated from the minds of people. Inner Voice comprises contributions from our readers.
