GORAKHPUR : BJP MP from Basti Harish Chandra Dwivedi on Tuesday described Muslims as narrow-minded people who did not see anything good in the Modi and the Yogi governments despite their (the governments’) commitment to inclusive development under the slogan ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’.

GORAKHPUR: Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Basti Harish Chandra Dwivedi on Tuesday described Muslims as narrowminded people who did not see anything good in the Modi and the Yogi governments despite their (the governments’) commitment to inclusive development under the slogan ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function, he said, “Our government is committed to the development of all and expects support from all, but there are some people who are not rising above their narrow mindset. They do not see any goodness, either in the Modi (regime) or the Yogi government, or in MPs and MLAs. I want to make it clear to such people that we are not doing development for their votes. Since Modiji is the Prime Minister and we are in government, it’s our duty to carry out development. I want to ask such people to rise above narrowmindedness.”

When asked as to who were these people, the MP from Basti said, “These are people belonging to the Muslim community. Among them, there are some who work permanently against the BJP and people from the SP, the BSP and the Congress make them see nothing good in the Modi and the Yogi governments.”
