LUCKNOW: The UP Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UPRERA) once again rapped Ansal API for not coming up with a viable and time-bound action plan to resolve the grievances of its allottees, who held a demonstration against the realtor in the hi-tech township on Sultanpur Road on Thursday.

“We got the news that Pranav Ansal, son of realtor Sushil Ansal, had come on a visit and was present at the site office in the township. Consequently, we reached the venue at around 10 am to speak to him but we were confronted by two dozen lathiwielding goons,” said Aman Gupta, one of the allottees.

told the office staff that they would summon the police.

“It’s been more than seven years now since the developer collected amount ranging from ₹10 lakh to 50 lakh from thousands of allottees. But these projects never got off the ground and ever since we have all been running from pillar to post to either get a refund or delivery of our plot/flat,” Gupta said.

The allotees fear the developer may flee and have urged the authorities to impound his passport.

A similar recommendation has also been made by UP lawmakers panel in its probe report on large-scale irregularities in the township. The panel is scheduled to meet on October 10 to formulate a way-forward on the township.

Already in the dock before UPRERA, the developer was asked to submit an action plan on completing unfinished projects in the township. But the real estate regulator was not very happy with the proposal submitted by Ansal API on Wednesday and has asked it to rework and submit the plan again on Saturday.
