LUCKNOW : Students from across the country have assembled at the GD Goenka Public School here to participate in the two-day Students’ Engineering Model Competition (SEMC) here on Friday.
The top 100 models chosen from among 2,500 all over India are on display at the event, which is part of the four-day IISF, an official said.
The campus is abuzz with activity, with student participants from different states mingling with each other and sharing their scientific ideas. A variety of models on themes like ‘Make in India’, ‘Swastha Bharat’, ‘Renewable Energy’, ‘Digital India’, ‘Made in India’ are on display.
Shaikh Jafar and Ankita Lokhande from Maharashtra, who prepared their model on Digital India, said: “Digital India is a framework that brings together a large number of ideas and thoughts into a single, comprehensive vision so that each of them is seen as part of a larger goal.”
The duo said the event is an opportunity for them to share their technical knowledge with others.
The team of Shubham Sambhu and Ashish Armal, also from Maharashtra, developed their model on ‘Renewable Energy’.
They said, ‘‘It is a privilege to be a part of this event where we learn so much and can show others what we have learnt.”
“I’m really grateful that my model is selected and elated to get this platform to showcase my skills, innovation and knowledge,” said Shreyansh Rawal, who designed his model on ‘Swastha Bharat’.
Scientists, professors, directors and CEOs from different universities, colleges and companies are playing mentors and also part of the jury in this event.
