MYSTERIOUS GIRL GAVE TIPOFF ABOUT LOCATION OF ACCUSED

-

LUCKNOW:A girl who visited the Gomti Nagar house where Shivam Singh and Chinna, the two key accused in the double murder of brothers Imran Ali and Arman Ali in Thakurganj were hiding for the past few days, tipped the cops off about their hideout.

A family in the neighbourhood of the hideout said the police raided the house an hour after a girl left the room where the two youths (later identified as Shivam Singh and Chinna) were staying for the past few days. They lived in a room on the first floor of the house owned by a retired police driver Ram Singh. The upper portion of the house was taken on rent by priest Bhanu Sharma alias Bhanu Pandit but often different people halted there, the neighbours said.

A cop associated with the probe said the girl visited the room at least twice in the past three days and was suspected to be involved in some immoral

act. The girl was in touch with a close accomplice of the two accused and she tipped him off about their location. The close accomplice in turn shared the

information with the police team.

On Thursday, police arrested Bhanu Sharma alias Bhanu Pandit in whose rented room the two accused were hiding for the past few days and booked him for giving patronage to criminals. Chinna, who was arrested on Wednesday, was sent to jail after being produced in court.

On Wednesday night, prime accused Shivam Singh had shot himself dead with a country made firearm when a police team raided his hideout in Gomti Nagar’s Viram Khand-5 but Chinna, who rushed out, was arrested.

Shivam and Chinna were at large after their names surfaced in the sensational murder of the two brothers on October 3. Shivam (who had six criminal cases registered against him), Chinna, Sahil and three others had allegedly murdered the two brothers Imran and Arman when they were returning home in a cab, which they used to drive, in Musahibganj locality of Thakurganj at around 11.30 pm on October 3.
