LUCKNOW : The Special Investigation Team (SIT) will reconstruct the scene of the incident in the murder of Apple executive Vivek Tiwari once again, this time according to the statements of the two accused constables Prashant Chowdhary and Sandip Kumar. The move is aimed at finding answers to the contradictions between narration of the two constables and the lone eyewitness Sana Khan.

Inspector of Mahanagar police station Vikas Pandey, a SIT member and investigation officer of the case, has procured two -day custody remand of the two accused. A city court granted the custody from 10 am on Saturday morning to Monday morning.

A SIT member said the two constables would be taken to the spot and asked to narrate the incident to reconstruct the scene according to their statements. “The contradictions between the narration of the two constables and the eyewitness will be compared to quiz them further”.

The SIT had earlier reconstructed the scene as per the statement of Sana Khan on October

2. “During recreation, an SUV similar to that of Vivek’s and a police patrol motorcycle will be arranged to get the exact scene of the incident. The forensic team will also remain present to ascertain the exact position of the vehicles,” the SIT member explained, adding, “The baton that Sandip Kumar was holding will also be recovered during these two days”. Sana Khan had alleged that Sandip Kumar was putting his baton inside the SUV from the open window of her side when Prashant Chaudhary opened fire on Vivek Tiwari.

The SIT member said the team had so far analysed the circumstances according to Sana Khan but was not aware what happened after the incident. “Did the two constables walk away leaving behind their patrol motorcycle on the spot after it was allegedly hit by the SUV or did they call another vehicle to assist them? In either case, the sequence of events is incomplete and may not reveal the real story behind Tiwari’s killing,” he explained.

To recall, Tiwari was shot dead in Gomti Nagar extension when he was going to drop his ex-colleague Sana Khan in his SUV, at around 1.30 am on September 28. Sana had told police and media that two constables intercepted their vehicle. One of them, Prashant Chaudhary, opened fire with his service pistol when Vivek tried to move on, fearing that the constables might misbehave with her.
