‘Ensure makeover of 3,000 primary schools in 6 months’
GORAKHPUR: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday held a meeting with Gorakhpur district officials and instructed them to ensure makeover of 3000 government-run primary school in the district within six months.
Yogi laid stress that the makeover process should start from primary schools located in urban areas.
He also instructed them to improving conditions of 23 community health centres and primary health centres in the district.
Yogi, who carried out a surprise inspection of two primary school in Gorakhpur on October 4, asked the officials to seek cooperation of local MPs, MLAs and civic bodies to ensure that school were be equipped with basic facilities like water, furniture and fans.
He also said school buildings should be repaired and white washed. The CM asked to ensure proper cleanliness on school campuses.

The chief minister also told joint education director, Yogendra Singh, district inspector of school (DIoS) Gyanendra Pratap Singh Bhadouria to ensure free and fair exams at Parishad schools in the district.
Yogi instructed the basic siksha adhikari that no politics will be tolerated in the education system.
He appreciated their good work and suggested them to do some new things. CM also said that schools in Vantangia villages will be established soon.
During the meeting, Yogi gave directions to concerned officials about 11 waste dumping stations for solid waste management and told them that garbage shouldn’t be thrown everywhere.
He also gave instructions for completing construction work of Deoria bypass road by December 25. Later in the afternoon, the chief minister flew back to Lucknowafter attending Navratra puja at Gorakhnath temple for 3 days..
