Jitendra helps JNPGC win trophy in style

LUCKNOW : A four-wicket haul by Jitendra helped hosts JNPG College beat Shia PG College by six wickets to lift the 47th Sundari Devi Inter PG Collegiate Cricket Tournament Trophy, at the JNPG Ground here on Friday. Jitendra took four for 17, whereas Vikas Pradhan had two for 18 as Shia PG College got out for 123 in 20 overs while batting first after winning the toss. CONTRASTING WINS

It was a day of contrasting wins in the 20th Chandra Bhanu Gupt Memorial Inter Collegiate Cricket Tournament for Amit Singh Chauhan Trophy here on Friday. Islamia Degree College beat Lucknow University by three wickets in the first match, whereas National PG College Blue beat Sherwood College by nine wickets in other match. BRIEF SCORES Lucknow University Blue 132 in 20 overs (Deepak Kumar 18, Rahul Sachdeva 3/30, Tafsheesh 3/30) lost to Islamia Degree College 133 for 7 in 19 overs (Dishant Verma 48, Deepak 2/31).
