The woman also alleged that she was given a life threat on Friday. “A man stopped me in an alley and asked me to live as the doctor’s mistress, else he would kill me and my child,” reads the woman’s complaint.

The doctor could not be reached for comment despite several phone calls.

second day for dressing, she said. “While dressing my wounds, one day he gave me sedatives and raped me. He even clicked my objectionable pictures,” she claimed.

She alleged the doctor showed her these pictures to intimidate her when she returned to her clinic for treatment of an ulcer in 2014.

“He started touching me inappropriately in his cabin on the pretext of examining me. When I resisted, he showed me my pictures and threatened to show them to my family members too. He then took me forcibly to a room behind his cabin and raped me,” she said.

She alleged this happened on several occasions and when she objected, the doctor promised to marry her.

The woman also worked at the doctor’s clinic briefly, looking after its management.

“I started living with him in a flat in June, 2014. The doctor continued to sexually abuse me and I became pregnant in 2015,” the woman said. “He got angry and told me to abort the child but I did not,” she added.

The woman has also accused the doctor of physical assault and sodomy.

“I didn’t speak about this harassment fearing a social backlash, but I returned to my paternal home in 2018,” the woman said, adding, “I was looking for a job but he (the accused) is forcing me to live as his mistress.”

Police have charged the accused under Section 376 (rape), 377 (sodomy), 323 (drugging and poisoning), 341 (wrongful restraint), 354 C (voyeurism) and 313/511 (attempt to cause miscarriage).
