Second ground-breaking ceremony on November 2
Lucknow: The Yogi government is all set to organise its second two-day ground-breaking ceremony starting November 2.
At the mega event, 158 projects of over ₹one lakh crore finalized by the state government at investors’ summit in February this year will be rolled out. On Tuesday, chief secretary Anup Chandra Pandey presided over a meeting of senior officials to review preparations from the event.
Projects related with real estate, handicraft, finance, banking and data centre among others will be launched at the ceremony. Pandey also instructed officials to review progress of projects rolled out at the first ground-breaking ceremony in July last.
He also directed officials to provide photographs and video clips of progress of these projects to special secretary, Industrial Development. PM Modi was in the state capital for the first ground breaking summit in July. The state government had approved these projects at the investors’ summit in February last. At the investors’ summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the country’s second defence equipment manufacturing corridor with an expected investment of ₹20,000 crore in the state, covering parts of the industrially backward Bundelkhand region, and chief minister Yogi Adityanath announcing the signing of 1,045 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth ₹4.28 lakh crore. Meanwhile, the state government will organise a special ‘one district one product’ summit on October 28 for distribution of loan to beneficiaries.
In the summit, beneficiaries in Unnao, Bareli, Shahjahanpur, Kasganj, Badaun, Chandauli and Lalitpur will connect through video conferencing with the main event in the state capital. Apart from distribution of loans, tool kits will also be provided to artisans.
