LUCKNOW : Sparkling knocks by Shobha Devi and Muskan Malik helped energetic Uttar Pradesh make it to the Super League of the Women’s Under-19 Twenty20, crushing lowly Mizoram by 145 runs in Rajkot on Tuesday.

Both Shobha and Muskan made full use of the placid turf of the SCA Stadium Khandari B Ground, hitting half centuries to guide Uttar Pradesh post 201/1 in 20 overs.

Whereas Shobha’s unbeaten 67-ball 84 contained 10 fours, Muskan’s 74 in 51 balls was studded with five boundaries.

The two looked solid from the very start and stitched together 146 runs for the opening wicket. Muskan was run out in the 16th over by Srilekha Roy.

The target for Mizoram always looked big and they could make 56/3 in 20 overs in reply.

Opener Swati Sah made highest 23 in 40 balls, which contained five hits to the fence.

Uttar Pradesh, which topped the Group E with 20 points for all five wins in as many as matches, will now take on Assam in a Group A Super League tie on October 27, followed by the second match against Odisha on October 29 before playing their last match against Punjab on October 30.
