Bowlers fashion DCA’s victory

LUCKNOW : Bowling trio Vivek Chandra Yadav (3/13), Jamshed (2/6) and Milan Yadav (2/20) were at their best on Thursday and fashioned Dhruv Cricket Academy’s convincing eightwicket against NIDBG Club in CAL’s B division cricket league here. The trio helped the side get the rivals out for paltry 63 in 24.5 overs. In reply, DCA romped home in just 6.1 overs with Gyanendra Verma hitting an unbeaten 28 in just 18 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes. In a D division match, ASCA Hostel crushed UP Rangers Club by 87 runs. After scoring 207 in 39.3 overs, the winners got the rivals out for 120 in 25.4 overs.

Aditya took 4/20 as host Aryavart Cricket Academy defeated Sahara Estates by 45 runs in a cricket series here on Thursday.

TRAINING PROGRAMME

On the third day of the 1st lifeguard certification course, coach Sunadaresh S from Karnataka demonstrated the skills needed by the lifeguards to save the lives of people at the pool.

FINE SHOW

Powerlifters from Uttar Pradesh staged a fine show at the Junior National Championship. Virendra Singh Markam had a gold medal in 53 kg category, whereas Sakshi finished top position in 43kg. Jyoti Singh and Vikas Chauhan also won silver medals.
