Munshipulia-Babu Stadium section work in final phase

LUCKNOW: : Construction work along the north-south corridor (phase 1-A) is going at a remarkable pace and metro stations from KD Singh Stadium to Munshipulia are in their final phases, said the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation Ltd chief, here on Saturday.

While reviewing the progress of the project on this particular stretch, LMRC managing director Kumar Keshav said that it is expected that construction work of all eight elevated metro stations between KD Singh and Munshipulia will finish by December 2018.

He praised the entire team along with other Metro officials after the satisfactory progress of work.

He also expressed satisfaction with the pace of installation of U-Girders (phase 1-A). In addition, the structural framework of all the stations of this section is ready and finishing work is in progress.

On the other hand, the construction of entry/exit gates of Munshipulia, Indira Nagar, RS Mishra, Badshah Nagar, IT and KD Singh Stadium metro stations has finished.

The staircase work has been done while the installation of escalators and lifts is picking up pace.

The work of tiling and flooring of the station control room (SCR), UPS room, security room and PD (Property Development) area is also 70% complete.

Installation of grills at platforms of IT, RS Mishra and KD Singh Stadium metro stations is also shaping up well.

The work of track-laying is

being carried out along with overhead electrification between KD Singh Babu Stadium and Munshipulia.

He also urged the contractors to carry out overhead electrification work with the same speed and coordination.

The whitewashing of most metro stations is also speeding up, said LMRC senior public relations officer Amit Kumar Srivastava.

Expressing his satisfaction Kumar Keshav instructed the executing agencies Tata and L&T to maintain their same speed and to wind up the civil construction work by December, 2018.

He also motivated and encouraged the entire team for this commendable quality of project work that is in its final stage of completion.
