Consumer forum issues bailable warrant against LDA secretary

-

LUCKNOW: The district consumer forum on Friday issued a bailable warrant against secretary, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), for non-compliance of its order and fixed January 24, 2019, as next date of hearing.

Judicial officer, district consumer forum, Rajarshi Shukla passed the order during hearing of one Mohammad Haseer’s case.

Haseer was allotted a plot by the LDA at its Priyadarshini scheme, Sector-C, Sitapur road, in 2003. When the LDA did not allot the plot, Haseer lodged a case with the district consumer forum.

The DCF in 2003 directed the

LDA to give possession of the plot to Haseer but the LDA did not and instead moved state consumer redressal forum.

However, the LDA lost the case in 2013. The LDA challenged this judgment also at the national consumer redressal forum and here also lost the case in 2016.

Despite losing the case at the national consumer redressal forum the LDA did not give possession of the plot to Haseer. Seeking compliance of the national consumer redressal forum’s order, Haseer filed an application with the district consumer forum earlier this year.

Taking serious note of the issue, judicial officer Shukla on April 27 last warned the LDA to implement its order. However, the LDA did not implement the order.

On Friday, Shukla issued a bailable warrant against Secretary, LDA, and fixed January 24, 2018, as next date of hearing.
