HYV to mobilise supporters, take part in sabha

-

LUCKNOW: To add momentum to the Ram temple movement, the Hindu Yuva Vahini (HYV) will also participate in the ‘Dharam Sabha’ as well as mobilise supporters to attend the event organised by VHP in Ayodhya on Sunday.

Convenor of HYV, PK Mall, said, “Construction of a grand temple is a dream for Hindus. HYV will support the organisations working for the construction of the temple. Office-bearers of the HYV will also attend the programme.”

HYV was relegated to shadows after Yogi Adityanath became the chief minister in March 2017. The activity of the organisation that was leading the political movement in Gorakhpur and adjoining districts was limited to social and cultural work. However, a senior VHP leader said the base of HYV remained intact. The organisation has a strong presence in eastern UP as well as districts adjoining Ayodhya. Majority of its members are youths and trained in mass mobilisation. The organisation plans to utilise their skills to give thrust to the temple movement , he said.

After the top leadership gave a green signal to HYV volunteers to join the Ayodhya rally, a meeting of HYV leaders and office bearers was held in Gorakhpur on Thursday to discuss their role in the temple movement.

Lone HYV MLA from Domariyaganj assembly seat, Raghvendra Pratap Singh said, “HYV cannot remain a mute spectator to the temple movement. Leaders and volunteers of the HYV are mobilising people to attend the event on Sunday.”
