Keep strict vigil on IndoNepal border: CM directs officials
BAHRAICH: Reviewing law and order situation in Bahraich, chief minister Yogi Aditynath on Thursday instructed officials to keep a strict vigil on border area to check activities of anti-national elements on the porous Indo-Nepal border.
The CM also asked district magistrate Mala Srivastava and superintendent of police Dr Gaurav Grover to appoint honest officers at border outposts and police stations.
“As Nepal is a friend, many foreigners visit India through the Indo-Nepal border,” he added.
Yogi asked the officials to ensure cleanliness and quality roads along the border.
Moreover, the CM also inspected a newly- constructed medical college, primary and junior high schools located on the police lines campus in the afternoon. The CM expressed his displeasure over the slow pace of work at the medical college.
He instructed the authorities to complete the construction work within three months as the first batch of medical students would be enrolled there from the next academic session.
Yogi later paid a visit to the local grain market where he enquired about the ongoing purchase of paddy. He instructed the authorities to make sure that the farmers did not face any problems in selling their crops at purchase centres. He was accompanied by senior officials and a couple of his ministers.
