Metro construction work complete near Polytechnic crossing
LUCKNOW : The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) officials on Saturday claimed to have finished the final civil construction work near Polytechnic crossing that leads to the joining of the complete section from Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport to Munshipuliya.
LMRC focus is now on clearing the remaining installation work in this corridor by the end of this year. Kumar Keshav, managing director, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation on Saturday overviewed this section from Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station to Munshipuliya Metro Station.
Starting his visit from Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station, he saw the civil construction work of the rooms at concourse level with lifts and escalators. The entrance and exit gates of this corridor are already complete while the other finishing work is going on at full pace.
Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station is one of the three metro stations in this corridor to have a radio tower with Badshah Nagar and Indira Nagar Metro Stations. The tower helps in the signalling of Metro,making operational functioning like surveillance and tetra connectivity smooth . These towers will work on the frequency between 380 MHz to 385 MHz (MegaHertz).
Kumar also reviewed the work of lifts and escalators installed at different level of all metro stations. He expressed satisfaction with the tiling work on the platform and concourse level of the metro station. Here, installation work for the glasses at the ticket office machine (TOM) has also started.
The civil work of KD Singh and RS Mishra Metro Stations is also advancing day by day. Metro has developed a commercial space (property development area) on both sides of KD Singh Metro Station and on one side at all other seven elevated Metro Stations. The artwork at the outer side of RS Mishra Metro Station has also started.
