CM sets Dec 15 deadline for Kumbh work completion
PRAYAGRAJ : UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations for Kumbh Mela 2019 here at the Circuit House on Saturday evening.
The CM arrived at Bamrauli Airport at 6.30pm and headed straight to the Circuit House to chair a meeting of senior administrative officials. In the meeting, Yogi Adityanath sought in-depth information about the preparations for Kumbh 2019.
Expressing satisfaction over the reports of development works completed, Yogi Adityanath directed officials entrusted with the task of Kumbh preparations to complete the remaining work within December 15, 2018. He also appealed to Prayagraj residents to abide by the culture and tradition of India ‘Athiti Devo Bhava’ and keeping the city clean for a pleasant experience to visitors during the 49-day Kumbh Mela next year.
He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi could arrive in Sangam city on December 16 to inaugurate the development works, but no confirmation regarding the same had been received so far from the Prime Minister’s office.
The meeting was attended by deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, cabinet minister Suresh Khanna, chief secretary Anuj Pandey, mayor Abhilasha Gupta, divisional commissioner Ashish Goel, district magistrate Suhas LY, besides senior officials of different
government departments. After the meeting, the CM headed to KP College ground to attend the wedding reception of the son of Cabinet minister and UP government spokesperson Siddharth Nath Singh.
