Birla int’l school now in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: Yash Birla, the founder/chairman of Birla Edutech Limited (BEL), announced the opening of Birla Open Minds Internatio­nal School in Lucknow on Monday. He said the school was an initiative of BEL that will focus on providing world-class education to nurture India’s tomorrow.

“The Yash Birla Group Company has embarked on a journey to revolution­ise education in India. It promises to build a uniting culture, provide rich education, develop support (for) educationa­l solutions and develop a strong sense of community, nurturing sensitivit­y towards society, economy and environmen­t,” he said at a press meet.

His son, Nirvaan Birla, said the Birla family had a legacy of nation-building and understood the importance of a high quality education system. He said, “We will try to address the stress and anxiety factor of students.” Birla Open Minds Internatio­nal School is situated on Faizabad Road here. Admission is open for students from nursery to class 5.

Nirvaan Birla said while technology will be put to use for effective teaching and learning exercises, teachers will continue to stay on centre stage. The parents will have easy access to monitoring the progress of their students with the help of technology, he said. In conversati­on with Gaurav Prakash, co chairman, UP chapter, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yash Birla and his son Nirvaan Birla shared their journey about building their company from strength to strength. Masoodul Haq, the chairman of Lucknow School, said they wished to open more such schools all over UP. Principal Diya Badgel spoke about how the school aimed to revolution­ise education in Lucknow. She said Lucknow was a progressiv­e city and hence they came to the state capital to impart education to students of the new generation.
