BUDGET HIGHLIGHTS
LAW AND ORDER
₹700 cr for 36 new police stations, expansion of training capacity of police, PAC personnel and construction of barracks.
₹400 cr for construction of 7 police lines in newly-created districts. ₹200 cr for construction of residential buildings in 57 fire stations.
₹204 crore for modernisation of police force.
AGRICULTURE
₹892 cr for National Agriculture Development Scheme.
₹450 cr for National Crop Insurance Programme.
₹150 cr for 2019-20 budget for pre-storage of fertilisers. 60.51 lakh quintals is the target for distribution of seeds in 2019-20. 77.26 lakh metric tonnes is the target of fertiliser distribution. ₹150 cr for development of 500 markets in rural areas through Mandi Parishad.
₹1840 per quintal to be the rate for purchase of wheat wich will be done through 6,000 purchase centres in 2019-20.
ANIMAL HUSBANDRY, DAIRY DEVELOPMENT
₹165 crore is estimated to be generated through special cess imposed on liquor sale. This will be utilised for the maintenance of stray cattle heads.
₹247.60 cr proposed for maintenance and construction of ‘gaushalas’ in rural areas.
₹200 cr for Kanha Gaushala and destitute cattle shelter scheme in urban areas.
₹64 cr for Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Small Dairy Scheme.
₹56 cr for establishment of new dairy in Mathura.
₹5 cr various programmes under UP Dairy Policy, 2018.
₹93 cr for strengthening, restructuring and expansion of milk unions and societies, training, technical inputs, cattle breeding and health schemes.
SUGAR INDUSTRY
₹50 cr for restarting closed sugar mills of government sector.
₹25 cr to restart closed cooperative sector units under PPP model.
