Interviews for faculty positions in five med colleges postponed
LUCKNOW: Interviews for faculty positions in the five medical colleges, have been postponed to include reservation roster in the appointment, said director general of medical education (DGME) KK Gupta in a press statement on Sunday.
The interviews were to be held for faculty positions in 22 departments for medical colleges in Basti, Bahraich, Sahjahanpur, Firozabad and Ayodhya. The interview for Ayodhya and Firozabad were to be held on February 11 and 12, for Basti on February 15, for Bahraich on February 14 and Shahjahanpur on February 17.
“The advertisement for the posts will be published once again after calculating the reservation roster and application of candidate will be taken till February 26. However, those who have applied earlier need not apply again,” said the DGME.
Those candidates, who wish to apply under reservation and have not done with their application earlier, may get their caste certificates made with appropriate authority and submit the same. The interview will now be conducted in the first week of March and candidates will be informed about the fresh dates of interview.
Two days before Akhil Bharatiya Pichhda Varg Mahasabha and SC/ST Medical Teachers Association jointly organised a demonstration demanding implementation of reservation in selection of faculty for the five new medical colleges.
