RAMAYAN IN GLOBAL AVATAR!
Artistes from Thailand performing a dance drama portraying Ramayan on the opening day of the three-day international Ramayan Mahotsav at the Sant Gadge Ji Maharaj auditorium in Lucknow on Friday. Artistes from Sri Lanka also gave a mesmerizing performance.
LUCKNOW: Artistes from Sri Lanka staged a dance drama portraying Ramayan on the opening day of the three-day international Ramayan Mahotsav at the Sant Gadge Ji Maharaj auditorium here on Friday.
The Lankan artistes mesmerised the jam-packed auditorium by beautifully portraying various sequence of events in Ramayan, inviting a big round of applause several times.
Artistes from Thailand were the next to perform. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath was to inaugurate the event, but he could not reach due to his busy schedule in Prayagraj and Varanasi, where he went to oversee the flood relief operations.

and tourism minister in the state government, inaugurated the event.
On the occasion, Vinay Shastra Budhe, Rajya Sabha MP and president of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations was also present.
Governor Anandiben Patel will be the chief guest on the last day of the event on Sunday when artistes from Cambodia, Fiji, Trinidad and Tobago will perform.
Apart from this, artists from Mauritius and Bangladesh will also perform.
