UP RERA cancels 18 projects
LUCKNOW: The UP Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has cancelled registration applications of 18 developers across the state, including four in the state capital.
The regulatory body took the step after it came across gross anomalies in documents submitted by developers for registration of their respective projects.
All these cancellations were made in the months of August and September.
Out of the 18 registration applications cancelled by the RERA, four of them were related with projects in Lucknow.
These projects are Sanfran Estate of Sanfram Developer Private limited, Galaxy Farms of Kamakshi Infra developers Pvt ltd, Mayur Enclave of Mayur Infrastructure and Vikram Plaza of the NCR Homes Pvt ltd.
“The registration applications of 18 developers have been cancelled due to anomalies in documents submitted by them,” said Abrar Ahmad, secretary, UPRERA.
“During scrutiny of documents it was found that land related documents of developers were misleading or layout of the project was not approved by the Lucknow Development Authority,” Ahmad added.
However, the regularity body has given three months time to these developers to apply again after removing all anomalies.
The RERA rejected registration applications for one project each in Ballia, Varanasi, Allahabad, Kanpur, Agra, Gorakhpur, two each in Jhansi and Ghaziabad and four in Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida).
Of late, the UPRERA has taken strict measures against developer Rohtas for not complying with norms of the regularity body and not fulfilling promises made with homebuyers.
