Divyansh shines in three categories
LUCKNOW : Lucknow’s Divyansh Srivastava hogged the limelight in the 66th UP State and Inter Zonal Table Tennis Championship at Agra on Monday, making it to the quarterfinals of the men’s singles, besides entering semi-finals of both youth boys and sub-junior boys categories.
Divyansh outplayed citymate Adarsh Srivastava 11-9, 11-7, 11-6, 11-6 in a pre-quarterfinal tie of the men’s singles. A trainee of Yogendra Agarwal at the Northern railway TT academy here, Divyansh had to struggle a bit before beating local challenger Hardik Paliwal 11-9, 9-11, 11-7, 5-1, 11-8 in the youth quarterfinals, but in the sub-junior quarters, he defeated Daksh Tyagi of Ghaziabada 11-2, 12-10, 11-7 in straight games.
