World needs rational thought not brinkmanship

World leaders should adopt pragmatic policies for peace Mercifully for the whole world, the holocaust that would have prevailed, has helped generate at least some rational thought in the corridors of power both in USA and Iran, not to accelerate the fire point crisis but retreat from the brinkmanship.

The people all over the world are facing very tough time due to the rapidly advancing factors amounting to anarchy. Global warming is creating anarchy in climate and resultant disasters. Secondly, uncontrolled and excessive industrialisation is resulting in massive production of destructive weapons posing great dangers to the mankind as well as adding massive load of CO2 emissions in the atmosphere. Thirdly, the frustration and the anger in the growing population particularly in the underdeveloped countries specifically in the large number of youth for not finding any opportunity to eke out a living, is of great concern.

Hence, the vital question arises as to whether the world shall give a rational thought to the aforesaid situations or shall it be facing brinkmanship again and again which may sometime result in unimaginable mass destruction amounting to misery as envisaged on doom’s day.

Climate change, global warming and uncontrolled massive industrialisation are interrelated. The continuous warming of oceans which contains huge water to the extent of 1,385 million cubic kilometers from which only 0.00039 percent, that is only half a million cubic kilometre evaporated under normal conditions and fulfilled the entire needs of fresh water on earth.

However, due to unchecked continuous global warming the vaporization of water from oceans has gradually reached such a level which forebodes heavy rainfalls or snowfalls. The entire world is already facing tremendous damage due to floods and snowfalls.

The mankind has to take immediate steps for mitigating the growing menace of CO2 emission but the hurdle is the selfish interests of very large industrial houses. The failure of Kyoto Protocol regarding CO2 emissions as agreed and signed in the year 1997 is the main cause of such worsening climate situation which has been caused due to the manipulation of aforesaid selfish interests.

To save the planet it has become essential to reduce CO2 emissions immediately. The developed nations have to make heavy cuts in their massive budgets for defence and make the funds available for restoring forests cover in under developed countries. Trees are also very important factor for mitigating the dangerous trend. It is also essential for populous countries like India and China to make a concerted effort for planting and maintaining huge number of trees so that climate change may be controlled. In doing so, it shall also generate part time employment to millions of youth in farm sector.

Hence, it is very essential for leaders of all the powerful nations to change their mindset and give deeper thought to the very volatile situation prevailing in the world and adopt pragmatic policies for restoring peace and happiness of the people rather than jeopardizing it.
