Offie Abhishek fashions DCA’s title win with 7/24

LUCKNOW:Offie Abhishek Kaushal bagged 7/24 to help Dhruv Cricket Academy (DCA) win the Subodh Memorial Tournament, defeating LDA Coaching Centre (LDACC) by 31 runs, at the LDA Stadium here on Wednesday.

Kaushal created a web around the LDACC batsmen, who were dancing to his tunes before being bowled out at 170 in 38 overs while chasing 202 in 40 overs. Ansh Yadav took 2/28. Opener Manoj Singh, who was later named man-ofthe-series, saved the face for LDACC, hitting 79-ball 68, which contained seven boundaries.

Earlier, opener Anjaneya Surya struck 50-ball 56 with the three fours and five sixes to help DCA score 201/8 in 40 overs after being sent to bat first. His 98-run second-wicket stand with Ansh Yadav (39, 86b, 3x4) helped the side cross 100-run mark. Rameshwar Yadav (31, 34b, 2x4) and Deepak Yadav (22, 38b) were the other run getters.
