LUCKNOW: Police on Saturday have arrested three people for allegedly kidnapping a 14-yearold girl from Jankipuram area of Lucknow.

Four youths on Friday night kidnapped the girl and left her in unconscious state outside a shop near her house at around 3 am, victim’s brother told the police.

As per the FIR, the accused, Zabrael, Mubin and their father Qayum, and Sufiyaan are victim’s neighbours. Police formed special teams and nabbed three of the accused, while Mubin is still at large.

Mubin is Qayum’s second son, said additional deputy commissioner of police, north, Rajesh Kumar Srivastava. “The girl was playing near her house when Zabrael abducted her. The victim narrated the entire incident to the family, who approached police,” said an official.

Srivastava said that girl’s medical examination has ruled out any sexual assault. “Zabrael,

Sufiyaan and Qayum have been arrested,” he added.

Zabrael and Mubin run a meat shop in victim’s locality, while Sufiyan worked as labourer in a timber shop, said police.

A case has been registered under section 364 (kidnapping), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison) and 506 (criminal intimidation) against them.

Srivastava said police are searching for the fourth accused and he will also be arrested soon.

Another cop, privy to the matter, however, revealed that the victim girl had called one of the accused, before she was allegedly abducted. We are investigating this case from all aspects, police said.
