3 new bus stns to come up in Lucknow
LUCKNOW: The state cabinet on Friday approved a proposal for construction of 23 bus stations in major cities on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The state government approved standards for the new bus stations that provide for using 55 percent of total area for bus station and 45 percent for commercial use.
The total period of operation has been fixed 60 years though the builder can withdraw after 30 years.
The cities where the construction of new bus stations would take place on PPP model include Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Hapur,
Rae Bareli, Bareilly, Agra, Bulandshahr and Ayodhya. In Lucknow, new bus stations will come in Vibhuti Khand, Amausi and Charbagh areas.
The cabinet that was presided over by chief minister Yogi Adityanath also approved a policy for making purchases from the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), providing for a mandatory 25 percent purchases from the state’s MSMEs.
The policy also provides for price preference of 15 percent to the state MSMEs, price preference of 3 percent for MSMEs of women, 4 percent of SC/STs and five percent for MSMEs of green units
The cabinet approved a proposal for making three-tier security arrangements in district courts. The Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) has been nominated as the agency for making the security arrangements. Under the proposal Close Circuit TV cameras would be installed on the court premises and if needed even in court rooms.
The state cabinet also approved a proposal to buy 15 vehicles, including 11 Corolla Altis cars, for the HC. It approved proposal to demolish 12 bungalows of judges and 80 houses besides two record rooms to pave way for construction of multi-storey parking in Allahabad High Court premises.
The state cabinet approved the Wheat Procurement Policy.
A target to buy 55 lakh metric tonne of wheat from April 1, 2020 to June 15, 2020 has been fixed. The cabinet also approved a support price of ₹1925 per quintal. UP government spokesman and minister Sidharth Nath Singh said the farmers would be paid within 72 hours of procurement of wheat.
UP Public Service Commission chairman and members will be paid revised salary in accordance with the recommendations of seventh pay commission. Chairman UPPSC will get a salary of ₹ 2.25 lakh against existing ₹ 80,000 while members will be entitled to get ₹ 1,82,200 against present salary of ₹ 64,000 per month. The state cabinet approved a proposal to set up sinking fund.
