As many as 150 teams visited 791 houses in Gomti Nagar, from where the woman doctor tested positive on March 11 after returning from Canada, for screening.

In all, 150 teams with four members each were deployed in two areas. In Indira Nagar from where a 20-year-old youth and a contact of the woman tested positive,

1877 houses were scanned and people made aware about coronavirus and its symptoms.

Screening of houses that was supposed to begin in the morning started in the afternoon. The delay occurred due to lack of coordination between the departments who were to go together to the houses in the two places.

Both the positive cases are under treatment at the KGMU and the condition of the woman is said to be improving. The condition of the youth is said to be stable.
