LUCKNOW: Assembling of pre– fabricated structure in which Ram Lalla will be shifted from the makeshift temple in Ram Janmabhoomi began in Ayodhya on Sunday.

Parallelly, the construction of platform on which the prefabricated structure will be placed is underway on the Ram Janmabhoomi campus.

“The construction work will be over by the evening of March 18 and thereafter the pre-fabricated structure will be placed over this platform,” said Ved

Prakash Gupta, BJP MLA from Ayodhya assembly constituency. Gupta carried out inspection of the ongoing construction work on the premises on Sunday.

“The pre-fabricated structure is bullet-proof and will be covered by iron grills from all sides to prevent monkeys from entering inside,” added Gupta.

Meanwhile, employees of the Larsen and Toubro (L&T), country’s leading engineering and construction company, also started taking measurements of the Ram Janmabhoomi premises for construction of the temple. L&T will most likely carry out designing and construction work of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. But the company will not sign any contract for this work and will execute the project without charging any fee.

“For the shifting of Ram Lalla from the makeshift temple to the new location priests from Kashi will also reach Ayodhya. This shifting will take place on wee hours of March 24 amid full

Vedic rituals,” said Mahant Dhinendra Das, head of the Nirmohi Akhara.

Members of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra will also be present when the deity will be shifted.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will reach Ayodhya on March 24 late in the evening. Next day, on the first day of Navratra, the CM will worship Ram

“Devotees will be able to worship Ram Lalla at this temporary temple from a much closer distance than the present 50 feet distance, said Mahant Dhinendra Das.

Meanwhile, temple construction is likely to start from Akshaya Tritiya on April 26.

Any decision on the date will take place at the second meeting of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust proposed in Ayodhya on April 4.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also likely to be present for ‘bhumi pujan’ of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
