LUCKNOW : The 21-day lockdown to control Sars-Cov-2 spread means a break from the usual hectic lifestyle: no school, office and no outings and shopping. So how are the people taking this forced vacation?

Netizens have come out with some brilliant ideas to counter the monotony of home stay.

Friends, relatives and neighbours are sharing messages of togetherness while artistes and performers are sharing their music and dance videos on social media.

Noted scientist and father of scientoons Dr Pradeep Kumar Srivastava said, “Messages of hope and resilience have popped up on FB. Posts like “stay safe” and “wash your hands” might not have drawn your attention earlier but today they have an emotional appeal.”

He added, “Creative people are busy making best use of the time. So I thought why not create awareness about coronavirus through lighthearted scientoons , with humour and vital information. Today they are a big hit on social media.”

Shivam Shukla, a gold medalist from Bhatkhande in Kathak said, “Initially, I was not able to teach my disciples, but now with the help of social media I am able to teach my students from home.”

The latest poetry on corona by noted comic poet Pankaj Prasoon, who is a scientist in CDRI, has drawn more than 40,000 hits in a few days . He said, “I have written how poets like Mirza Ghalib, Majaz Lakhnawi, Nirmal Darshan, Sahir Ludhianvi, Kaifi Azmi and Nida Fazli would have penned verses on corona. Even Bollywood stars have appreciated it.” Vivek Tewari, a builder, “Singing is a stress buster. I send my songs on Whatsapp to my friends and when they appreciate I get motivated to sing even better.”
