The Chaurasi Kosi (around 300 km) parikrama was scheduled to start from Ayodhya on Wednesday but the VHP has already cancelled the event due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
The 21-day parikrama was supposed to pass through several adjoining districts of Ayodhya, including Basti and Ambedkar Nagar. It was scheduled to end on May 2.
Following Supreme Court orders, the Centre had constituted the trust for construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The top court had ruled in favour of Ram temple on November 9 last year, ending the Ayodhya title dispute.
The trust opened two bank accounts on April 2 at the State Bank of India’s main branch, Ayodhya.
All donations received for construction of the Ram temple will be deposited in these two accounts.
