LUCKNOW: With growing need for online classes and webinars due to lockdown and suspension of regular classes, administration of different colleges are planning to collaborate to improve the online content being provided to the students.

“The idea is to improve the quality of content we provide to our students and using the resources available with different colleges,” said Rupesh Deshmukh, a Lucknow based senior educator who is working with various educational institutes for better cooperation.

“Around 30 educational institutes in Lucknow and nearby districts are collaborating. We are working to double this number in coming weeks,” he added.

As of now, the education institutes both schools and colleges are conducting classes on zoom, webinar or another digital mode.

Some schools and universities have ready started inviting guest lecturers or experts to join in and help the students. Lucknow university has invited doctors and other experts to conduct webinars ranging from health care to finance. This practice will only increase in the coming days.

Spokesperson of Lucknow university, Durgesh Srivastav said,

SOME SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES HAVE READY STARTED INVITING GUEST LECTURERS OR EXPERTS TO JOIN IN AND HELP THE STUDENTS

“All are top faculties are taking online classes and we are regularly inviting experts. In the coming future, we are also looking at sharing our resources with other educational institutes and using their supplies for the benefit of the students.”

According to the experts, this practice will prove most beneficial for the students in the rural pockets. “The colleges in rural areas have limited resources and exposure. If such colleges tie-up with bigger universities to share resources, it will be very helpful for students in those areas,” said Deshmukh.

The collaboration will benefit learning technical subjects related to science and economics. Besides colleges and universities, some coaching centres have also started collaborating to provide better training to students.
