Use Ayush Kavach app to help boost immunity: Yogi
LUCKNOW : The information contained in the state government’s Ayush Kavach Covid app could help people boost their immunity by following steps in sync with the Ayurvedic system, chief minister Yogi Adityanath said at a meeting, according to officials.
People should download the app and state government departments launch a campaign to create public awareness about its utility, he said.
The chief minister also told officials that the plan for treatment and protection of people should be prepared by understanding the ‘chemistry of the coronavirus’, according to additional chief secretary, home, Awanish Kumar Awasthi.
Awareness should be created among the people so that they could protect themselves by strengthening their immunity, he said.
CM FOR DRIVE AGAINST MALARIA, DENGUE
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed health department officers to launch a drive across the state against vector-borne diseases like malaria and dengue, the outbreak of which is usually reported during the monsoon.
The health department should launch this special drive in coordination with other departments, including rural development, urban development, panchayati raj, child development and women welfare, the chief minister said, according to officials.
The health and family welfare department has already launched a routine immunisation programme in orange and green districts to protect vulnerable children and mothers from various diseases.
TRAINING FOR COLLEGE PRINCIPALS, TEACHERS
Meanwhile, the state government has decided to train principals and teachers of degree and intermediate colleges across Uttar Pradesh to create awareness about Covid-19 among the people.
The teachers, in turn, will create awareness among the students, parents and common people for protection from the coronavirus.
Disclosing this, additional chief secretary, home, Awanish Kumar Awasthi said chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed officials to also run a training programme regularly to protect doctors and paramedical employees from infection.
Health and medical education department officers were directed to maintain regular communication with principals of medical colleges and deputy chief mediical officers of all the districts, the official said.
Adequate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits and N- 95 masks should be supplied in the districts, he added.
A committee comprising the district magistrate and the chief medical officer (CMO) will grant permission to run emergency services in private hospitals in the respective districts.
The committee will also ensure that hospitals implement the Covid protocol issued by the state government to protect medical teams from infection.
