LUCKNOW: CM Yogi Adityanath on Sunday made a call to his MP counterpart Shivraj Singh Chauhan and requested him to ensure appropriate treatment of all those UP’s migrant labourers who were injured in a road accident in Narsinghpur on the intervening night of Saturday/Sunday. Yogi also announced payment of Rs 2 lakh each to the family of each of the deceased.
LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday made a call to his Madhya Pradesh counterpart Shivraj Singh Chauhan and requested him to ensure appropriate treatment of all those UP’s migrant labourers who were injured in a road accident in Narsinghpur on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
Expressing grief over the deaths of migrants in the road mishap in MP’s Narsinghpur, Yogi also announced payment of Rs 2 lakh each to the family of each of the deceased.
He asked the officers concerned in UP to get the bodies of accident victims to Jhansi and also make arrangements to send bodies to their homes in various parts of the state from there.
Yogi also, in the statement issued, by his office said that the UP government will bear all the expenses on the treatment of those injured.
According to the initial report published in hindustantimes.com, “A total of 18 people were in the truck, laden with mangoes when the truck overturned near Patha village in Narsinghpur. Five labourers died and 11 others got injured in the mishap” said Deepak Saxena, district collector of Narsinghpur.
He further said, “The labourers were going in the mangoladen truck from Hyderabad to Agra.”
