Lockdown taught us minimalism!
Y0UR DAYS IN LOCKDOWN
t was a luck escape for me as my class 12th board examinations ended just three days before the nationwide lockdown was imposed. In these days, I started reading editorial articles in Hindustan Times which I am still continue to do.
I picked up reading fiction again. ‘The Adventure Series’ which I left half way in class 9th now served as the source of mental outing in the lockdown. I read ‘The Bhagwat Gita’ and ‘Chanakya Neeti’ and both were an eyeopener. Listened audio books on YouTube related to human psychology has been a good pass-time.
I gave my father a haircut with a beard trimmer. I definitely need some more practice as this was my first experiences of haircut. I started teaching a friend who is in class 10th right now so that his studies don’t come to an standstill during the lockdown.
I have personally called each and every friend of mine with whom I wasn’t able to converse during the board examinations. I advanced reading articles and watching videos on YouTube related to geopolitics and economics.
In these days, I was moving out only to fetch milk and groceries. We have to keep milk packets in detergent and vegetables in baking soda before washing them once again.
I trying to improve my oration skills by reading aloud the editorials in the newspaper. I also took out sometime for learning new songs on flute.
For exercise, it was just climbing up and moving down the stairs with some stretching exercises. The thing I am missing the most is playing football in open ground where people of all age groups played with full gusto. The lockdown taught us minimalism which needs to be carried hereafter.
