- Titas Chowdhury

The effort is to have a conversation and make things lighter for them. I want to create an environment so that they can talk about anything that makes them feel better. NUSHRAT BHARUCHA, ACTOR

To spread joy in the lives of doctors who are tirelessly working round the clock during the pandemic, Nushrat Bharucha has come up with a virtual chat session. She will be engaging in a discussion with a group of resident doctors, including some who haven’t met their families and friends for months, and are in quarantine at their homes. A source says, “She’ll be seen talking to them about their experience of working during the pandemic, fun stories they’ve come across in these tough times, and some heartfelt moments.”

The actor believes that the chat will be a stress buster for the front-line workers. “The effort is to have fun, have a conversation and make things lighter for them. I want to create an environment so that they can talk about anything that makes them feel better. I hope they get a little break from the difficulties they’re going through,” she shares.

Talking about the discrimination being faced by doctors and health-care staff, she says, “It’s heartbreaking to watch people discriminate against them and treat them badly. If it wasn’t for them, we would’ve been in such a bad situation.”

The Dream Girl (2019) actor asserts that now is the time to bring the humanity in us to the fore.

“How can one ill-treat somebody who is doing everything to save our lives? We, as humans, are better than this and should show it through our actions,” she concludes.
