Never thought a virus would teach us the art of living!

- DEEKSHA BAJPAI Student, Lucknow

The deadly virus spread made the world go into lockdown as this was the only option left for all the countries. It was first such experience where I had to stay at home with no classes, no going out or socialising.

The pandemic brought a number of troubles for all of us like for the students it was loss academics with no regular classes or library visits it was going to be difficult. Though we had an option of online classes but the virtual classes can never compensate real ones for sure.

It has been a sad state of affairs for the entire human race. Hearing ambulance sirens in our locality made us all dread that there must be some emergency as the number of cases was on rise and fear was building up in us. Police, doctors and other front-line helpers proved to real warriors proving their significance yet again. And I decided to keep myself busy to avoid the bad vibes and maintain positivity. I learnt cooking, brushed up my vocabulary and read a lot. With more lockdown following I decided to complete my syllabus and attend my digital classes started.

I also tried my hand in upcycling some old stuff and began gardening as it was something that kept me close to nature. Families came close to each other during this phase and we at home to spend quality time together.

Being a diehard Shah Rukh Khan fan so one day I decided to sketch SRK and dedicate a few lines to him on social media.

The period gave me umpteen time to watch movies and documentaries that I had missed on. I also learnt how to write a blog and slowly learning the art to be a known blogger. Video calls kept me connected to my friends and cousins.

The best part of this entire episode was it brought me close to life and it taught me some best lessons of life.
