Allow only five people at a time in shrines: Yogi
LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said the administration and police officers should get in touch with the management of religious places and provide information about precautionary measures to be taken there before their reopening from June 8.
More than five persons should not be allowed at one point of time at these places as adequate precaution was needed to break the chain of the coronavirus, Yogi said.
He was reviewing Unlock-1 at a high level meeting at his official residence here. The chief minister said arrangements for sanitiser, infrared thermometer and pulse oximeter should be made at all the places of worship. Arrangements should also be made for taking off footwear outside religious places, he added.
The chief minister said effective police patrolling should be done to ensure that no crowding took place anywhere.
He asked chief secretary RK Tiwari to keep in touch with the divisional commissioners and the district magistrates on a daily basis to ensure smooth functioning of all the Covid hospitals.
All possible efforts should be made to increase the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients, he said.
He also said lukewarm drinking water should be made available to patients in hospitals.
Quarantine centres and community kitchens should be kept in a running condition across the state, the chief minister added.
He said the state government was able to bring down the rate of death from Covid-19 infection by
providing better medical care, awareness and surveillance. Vigilance and monitoring committees should remain active, Yogi added. He also said Udyog Bandhu, PICUP and other institutions should make efforts to provide a favourable atmosphere to run industrial units. The pace of industrial activities should be expedited and more opportunities created to provide more jobs, he added.
The chief minister also said the skill mapping exercise should be expedited in districts where 25,000 or more migrant labourers had returned. Effective schemes should be worked out to provide social security to workers, labourers, construction workers, street vendors and MSME workers/labourers, he added. Yogi said street vendors should be linked to digital banking services. Regular communication should be maintained with Asha (Accredited Social Health Activists) workers and they should be encouraged to help the people. The chief minister said nodal officers should get in touch with different state governments to send back those willing to return to their states.
