LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said the TrueNat machines made available in all the 75 districts should be made functional by June 15.

Used to test drug-resistant tuberculos­is (TB), TrueNat machines have recently been approved for conducting Covid-19 tests. They ensure faster Covid-19 test results.

Used to test drug-resistant tuberculos­is (TB), TrueNat machines have recently been approved for conducting Covid-19 tests. They ensure faster Covid-19 test results.

The chief minister said the state government had made the TrueNat machines available in all the districts on a priority basis to get faster Covid-19 test results.

Yogi was reviewing the unlock-1 situation at a high level meeting at his official residence here.

He said minister for medical education and minister for medical and health should engage in regular communicat­ion with medical institutes/colleges and districts hospitals to get regular feedback.

They must also ensure proper arrangemen­ts in all the Covid and non-Covid hospitals.

Yogi said besides ensuring facilities to Covid-19 patients, the benefits of emergency services should be made available to all.

Stressing on the need to control death rate due to Covid-19, he said patients should be shifted to hospitals as early as possible.

He said doctors should take at least two rounds in the wards during their duty hours.

He said para medical staff should also do regular monitoring of the wards and medicines, nutritious digestive food and lukewarm water etc. should be made available to patients.

He said regular action should be taken to provide jobs to migrant labourers. He said a work plan had been prepared to give 10 lakh new jobs in next six months.

He said the Mandis should be developed as an export hub and there was also a need to explore new possibilit­ies for creating jobs. He said all measures should be taken to protect the police force from Covid-19.

He said the public address system should be used to make people aware about measures to be adopted for protection against the Covid-19. He said social distancing norms should be strictly followed and those residing in containmen­t zones should not move out for work.
