Need to be more cautious as we enter Unlock 1.0

- SHAVEZ AHMED Tourism professional

While working in office in the first week of March, I had never thought that this Covid19 will spread in such a way that it will become a pandemic in almost no time. It changed the lives of many and left a black mark on the history of mankind. However, due to nature of my job, I was the one who’s getting the updates everyday from the different countries of the world since January and by starting of March, Covid19 knocked the door of India as well. Due to our unconscious negligence, corona virus reached our country in no time.

Then the lockdown happened and like others I was too on a strict home quarantine for almost long 70 day.

The period for me was a roller-coaster ride with too many ups and downs in both personal and professional life.

Lockdown introduced a very new concept of work from home (especially for professionals like me who are work in customer facing business) and within few days my study table become my work station for next few months. I was one of those who had lot of work to do because every passenger wanted to reschedule or cancel their trips.

WFH (work from home) is altogether a fun experience and I think I will miss these zoom call, team meetings on team, group chats, video conferencing, con calls and many more along with mopping floor, washing utensils and other household chores.

Corona crisis brought some positivity as well it gave us ample of time to be with our families and explore old hobbies.

The virus has taught us not to take life and nature for granted. And be humble and kind to all.

We need to stay safe, stay healthy and follow all precautions as its more crucial time than before because the lockdown is lifted now and we are in Unlock 1.0.
