Celebrities mourn Sushant Singh Rajput’s death
AKSHAY KUMAR, ACTOR
Honestly this news has left me shocked and speechless...I remember watching #SushantSinghRajput in Chhichhore and telling my friend Sajid, its producer how much I’d enjoyed the film and wish I’d been a part of it. Such a talented actor...may God give strength to his family
SANIA MIRZA, TENNIS PLAYER
Sushant you said we would play tennis together one day .. you were so full of life and laughs .. spreading smiles everywhere you went.. we didn’t even know you were hurting this bad Disappointed face the world will miss you .. shaking while I write this .. RIP my friend
NAVIN POLISHETTY, ACTOR
I have just received a call about Sushant’s death. I am extremely heartbroken. I met him on the sets of Chhichhore . He did not make me feel like it was my first film and by the end of the film he became like a brother to me. The manner in which we have lost him is extremely shocking.
KIARA ADVANI, ACTOR
Deeply saddened. My heart goes out to Sushants family at this time. Reminiscing and cherishing every moment of our Dhoni shoot. Can’t believe this.. gone too too soon
HRITHIK ROSHAN, ACTOR
Deeply saddened and shocked to hear about Sushant. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones. He had so much life in him . Extremely disheartening news.
SHASHANK KHAITAN, DIRECTOR
This news is just horrible and completely heartbreaking. I don’t even know what to say to begin with. He always came across as a passionate actor, who would totally get immersed into the process. He would try to understand every dialogue and emotions before he would deliver in front of the camera. It’s quite ironic but I was watching Chhichhore (2019) yesterday, the film is all about hope and the next day this news.
HITEN TEJWANI TV ACTOR
This news is both sad and shocking. I didn’t believe when I got to know about it, I mean can’t imagine what made him take this step. When I started working in Pavitra Rishta (Hiten replaced Sushant on the show as the latter at that time was shifting his focus to films), Sushant would often come on the sets and see me perform, and praise my work. He was extremely passionate about his craft. We would often bump into each other and talk over messages. I never saw this coming.
NITISH BHARADWAJ, ACTOR
He was very respectful on the sets and very passionate about acting as well as about science. He, Sara (Ali Khan) and I used to have a lot of fun and discussion on the sets of Kedarnath (2018). I have spent a lot of time with him. I never felt that he was depressed or anything. A few months ago, though, I came to know via a common friend that he was feeling low about his films not releasing in theatres and going online. I wish he had reached out for help.
PRATEIK BABBAR, ACTOR
I am overwhelmed and shocked. He was always all fun and games. I really don’t get it . I cannot put it into words what I feel. He seemed absolutely fine. I don’t understand what overcame him to take such a drastic step. He had everything going for him, Chhichhore was a super hit, he had a new girlfriend and he seemed happy. I wish he called somebody, anybody.
NEERAJ KABI, ACTOR
He was so young. This news came as a big shock. He was a promising actor and in a few more years, his talent would have blossomed beautifully. He was one of those actors who came from a humble background and did so well for himself. I would bump into him here and there but a-year-and-a-half back I met him at a resort. I saw him from a distance and waved at him and came running to meet me. We spoke a lot that night and discussed cinema.
USHA NADKARNI, TV ACTOR
I played his mother in Pavitra Rishta and worked together for two and a half years. I knew of him as a sweet shy boy, who didn’t talk much and would ask me to get home-cooked food for him. He would always check after my health and well being. I don’t know what happened to him. He used to read a lot and was passionate about acting.
