Ambulances’ response time should be below 10 mins: CM

LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said all ambulances should compulsori­ly have sanitiser, PPE kits, N-95 masks and gloves and their response time should be below 10 minutes.

He said ambulances of ‘108’, ‘102’, ALS and private nursing homes should be pressed into service and efforts be made to make better health service available to people in this time of Covid-19.

Yogi was reviewing the ‘Unlock-1’ situation at a high level meeting here.

He said testing facilities should be increased and process to set up testing lab in every district should be expedited. He said level-2 lab should be set up in all divisional hospitals and medical colleges by the end of June. He asked for services of Ayush doctors in L-1 and L-2 Covid hospitals.

He said medical and health equipment should be made functional in all Covid hospitals and at least 10 per cent beds there should have oxygen facility. He said there should also be some beds in L-2 hospitals with ventilator­s.

Yogi asked for creation of more holding area in hospitals where adequate number of stretchers and wheel chairs should be made available. Beside this, there should be more counters for registrati­on in hospitals, he said.

The chief minister stressed upon the need to create awareness about Covid-19 through publicity. He said in order to expedite this, other communicat­ion means should be used and hoardings carrying informatio­n about Covid-19 should be erected in gram panchayats and areas under urban local bodies. He said public distributi­on shops should also have banners with informatio­n about Covid-19.

Yogi said every institutio­n should have Covid help desk with availabili­ty of sanitiser, infra-red thermomete­r and pulse oximeter. He asked for deployment of large human resource to strengthen surveillan­ce system. He lauded the role of surveillan­ce committees and said every committee should be provided sanitiser, infra-red thermomete­r and pulse oximeter.

He asked for intensive police patrolling and said foot patrolling should be ensured in crowded places and markets while patrolling by PRV-112 vans should be done on highways and expressway­s. He said social distancing norms have to be followed to contain spread of Covid-19.

Yogi said the process of simplifyin­g rules and procedures should be expedited to attract more investment. He said in order to provide employment to workers, the Industrial Investment Developmen­t Commission­er should conduct a survey of industrial units. Those desirous of self-employment should be helped to get bank loans, he said. He referred to immense possibilit­ies of employment in industry, MSME, rural developmen­t, panchayati raj, agricultur­e and irrigation fields and said labourers of Banda district revived a river by their own efforts.

He said their effort provided employment for some people and gave new life to the river and added that such endeavours should be encouraged. He also directed ensuring of proper door step delivery system in containmen­t zones.
