People don’t understand the gravity of the situation

- PRAKHAR SRIVASTAVA Student

We are in unlock phase but situation around is no better off. With surge in cases and the situation a bit out control things still seem a little gloomy and difficult to restart school and colleges like earlier.

I feel with no vaccine the situation is going to remain same for a few more months but I find it funny that many people still don’t understand the gravity of the situation. As I see many out there not following guidelines, they are not even wearing a mask forget social distancing.

The spread of coronavirus and lockdown turned my life upside down. I had never thought the little things that we always took for granted would never be the same again. As a student, I loved going out, meeting my friends, eating at food joints and reading books at libraries. Suddenly, I was not able to experience any of these things. I could not meet my friends nor go out to eat or read.

I remember how lockdown had started to take a toll on my mind and I was not able to concentrate on studies. I felt depressed! However, as days passed by, I began to meditate and it helped me bring back my concentration and so at present to I am meditating to stay away from negativity. I started attending virtual classes and webinars. There was one webinar on robotics that really inspired me. Going ahead, I would like to do a course in robotics and make a mark in this field. I also learned cooking during the phase and now I can call myself self-sufficient. Since I am planning to move out of Lucknow for preparation of competitive exams next year, having culinary skills are going to stand me in a good stead. Hopefully we get back those normal days.
